Disclaimer: I am not a health expert and cannot assure your safety in all of these activities! These are my personal ideas on what I believe would be Covid safe Valentines ideas with minimal risk!
Covid Safe Valentines Ideas
1. Ice Skating
I love going ice skating in the winter time! Outdoor ice skating is a great option for Valentines Day, as it is a fun date idea, and being outdoors makes it safer for Covid.
2. Top Golf
Top Golf is so much fun! It is outdoors, and everyone has their own bay, and you are more than 6 feet away from other guests. You can order food and drinks to your bay, as well as play a variety of different golf games.
3. Drive In Movies
Who doesn’t love drive in movies? Grab some of your favorite snacks and head to the drive in with your significant other!
4. Tubing
If you’re anywhere near snow, tubing is a super fun date idea! I know near me they have regular snow tubing in the day, but also glow tubing at night time too! If you’re in Ohio, here is the Glow Tubing place in Mansfield!
5. Have an Indoor or Car Picnic
Let’s be honest, it is FREEZING outdoors on Valentines Day (at least in the midwest and northeast). Why not have an indoor picnic by the fire with all your favorite foods and a bottle of wine of course. If you’re somewhere warmer, then a picnic in the back of your car is a super cute date idea!
6. Themed Movie Night
Movie nights are the best, so why not have a themed movie night for Valentines day? Pick a genre or movie series that you like, such as romantic comedies or the Harry Potter movies, and have a marathon. It would be super fun to make food that fits the theme too, like heart shaped desserts for romantic comedies, or butter beer for a Harry Potter marathon.
7. Cook Together
Cooking with your significant other can be a lot of fun, and you also get to eat all the yummy food together! Plan out a three course meal with appetizers, an entree and dessert, and enjoy cooking and eating together.
8. Escape Room
Escape rooms are a lot of fun, and they can be Covid safe Valentines ideas! If you can do a private escape room with just you and your significant other or a few friends, you can have a fun, safe night!
9. At Home Cocktail Night
Is anyone else’s TikTok page full of people making crazy cocktails with their friends? I have seen this all over TikTok and it would make such a fun Valentines date. You and your partner make your favorite cocktail (or two) and then you can judge them and see which one you like the best. This would be really fun to do and follow up with idea #13.
10. TikTok 4 Course Takeout Meal
I have seen this all over TikTok, and it looks like a super fun & affordable date night! The four courses are drinks, appetizers, main, and dessert. You and your partner do scissors, paper, rock, and the winner gets to pick where you get that course from, and the loser pays for the course! You do it with takeout places, so you just drive around to them all and don’t have to leave your car!
11. Game Night
This is one of my favorite Covid safe Valentines ideas! Gather up your favorite games, and have a game night with your significant other, and maybe even a few friends. Some great games are Taboo, Jenga, Monopoly and Clue.
12. Brunch
Brunch food is some of the best food! Pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage! I made this french toast casserole for Christmas morning and it was insanely good! Make some of your favorite brunch foods, and of course your favorite brunch cocktails. I love a mimosa with brunch, but you can’t go wrong with a good bloody mary or a bellini at brunch!
13. At Home Karaoke Night
Anyone else missing karaoke!? You can buy karaoke microphones for $18 on Amazon, so why not pick out your favorite songs and have an at home karaoke night?
14. Fondue Night
Anyone else love the Melting Pot? Fondue is actually super easy to make, and you can find fondue sets pretty cheaply online at Target and Amazon. Have your first course be cheese fondue, with vegetables, apples, peppers, steak, and bread, and for dessert make chocolate fondue and dip strawberries, marshmallows, cake, cookies, or any of your other favorite dessert items in it!
15. Fire Pit & S’mores
If it isn’t too cold where you are, then a fire pit and s’mores is perfect! Roasting s’mores is so much fun, and is something you can do in your own backyard, making it one of the best Covid safe Valentines ideas.
16. Weekend Getaway
Who doesn’t love a good weekend getaway. I think a cabin is one of the best Covid safe Valentines ideas, and these Getaway Cabins look perfect! They have cabins all around the country, including New York State,Virginia, Dallas, and Cleveland.
I hope you enjoyed the 16 Covid safe Valentines ideas! As always, thanks for reading!
